A Regular Meeting of the Township Trustees of the Town of Alton, Illinois was held on
the above date in the City Council Chambers, City Hall Building, at the hour of 6:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bohart and on Call of Roll, the following
members were present or absent:
PRESENT: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott– 6
ABSENT: Gan-1
Also in attendance was Alton Township Attorney, Matt Kelly.
Mrs. Brown made a motion, seconded by Mr. Meehan, that the minutes of the regular
meeting of June 12, 2024 be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott– 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Gan-1
Chairman Bohart presented the Report and Listing of Bills for Payment and Action by
Board; General Assistance Fund in the amount of $6,335.68; Town Fund in the amount of $18,359.61; Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in the amount of $1,366.20; Social Security fund in the amount of $1,146.53. Mrs.Brown made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Allen, that said Bill Listing be approved. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott– 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Gan-1
Chairman Bohart presents the following notice:
NOTICE of AVAILABILITY of AUDIT REPORT
of the Town of Alton
The Town of Alton hereby provides public notice that an audit of its funds for the period April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024 has been made, and that a report of such audit dated March 31, 2024 performed by C. J. Schlosser has been filed with the Madison County Clerk in accordance with 30 ILCS 15/0.01 et seq. The full report of the audit is available for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office, City Hall Building, 101 E. Third Street, Alton, Illinois, from and after 8:00 a.m. on Friday June 28, 2024.

Mrs. Allen made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Elliot that the said audit report be placed on file. The motion passed by the following vote:

The regular meeting closed at 6:16 p.m., to go into discussion regarding the Third Meeting for Decennial Local Government Efficiency Act. Mrs. Allen made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Brown that the said meeting be closed. The motion was passed by the following:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott– 6
NAYS: None – 0
ABSENT: Gan-1
There being no further business to come before the Board of Trustees at this time, Mrs.
Brown made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Allen, that the meeting adjourn. The motion passed by the following vote:
AYES: Allen, MacAfee, Strebel, Brown, Meehan, Elliott– 6
NAYS: None – 0
